IBMS Shanxi University will hold “2017 IBMS Shanxi University Biology Summer Training Course” for first year postgraduates from 7th August to 3rd September 2017. The course aim to give postgraduate students a general understanding of IBMS research area, the front area and hotspot of international research, research and teaching of basic and applied studies of IBMS, therefore helping students join research team as soon as possible.
There are four research centers and three high level experiment platform in IBMS, including human serious infectious diseases and zoonosis research center, Mid-West high-incidence cancer research center, human rare genetic diseases research and application center, stem cell technology and application center; molecular biology, cell biology and experimental animal platform. Based on these research centers and platform, IBMS focus research on: human TB pathological mechanism and molecular mechanism of susceptibility, HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C infection mechanism research, colorectal tumour biology, natural anticancer drug research, association between environmental toxicology and tumorigenesis, human rare genetic diseases research, hedgehog signaling pathways and its relationship with metabolic disease development, embryonic stem cell research.
The training course includes: 1.lectures on frontiers of the discipline given by well-known overseas professors and lectures; 2.be familiar with IBMS research area and experiment operation skills by studying in every research center. The training course is mainly opened for the first year master student. Meanwhile, push avoid unripe and the class of 2018 undergraduates and graduates who would like to join IBMS are very welcomed.
