On December 21^st, Professor Shao Yiming, HIV leading expert from Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, came to our school for academic exchange at the invitation of Professor Wu Changxin and Professor Meng Qinglai of the Institute of Biomedical science. The topic is “The challenge and strategy of HIV vaccines”. Professor Shao Yiming gave a comprehensive and systematic introduction of the development strategy and clinical application of HIV vaccines. Finally, Professor Shao Yiming talked about the deep cooperation and working plan with Professor Meng Qinglai on efficiency assessment of Alefacept immune therapy on HIV dormant infection using SHIV/monkey animal model.
