SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH SPECIFICITY

The optimal strategies for cancer prevention and control are being investigated, focusing on the early detection and early treatment of cervical cancer and upper digestive tract cancer by identifying molecular biomarkers related with specific structures of pathogens and the cell signal pathway, and verifying their predicting value by means of population-based epidemiology. The specific researches were listed as follows:

  1. Role of methylation of HPV DNA and host cell in predicting the risk of cervical cancer;
  2. Immunogenic mechanism of HPV persistent infection and clearance;
  3. HPV oncogenes on the regulating of cervical cancer stem cell;
  4. The association of microbiome of upper digestive tract with the esophagus cancer.
