Areas of interests

My research investigates the influence of prebiotics, probiotics and synbiotics on human gut microbiota and relationship between gut microbiota and immunity. In addition, the relationship between microbiome and infectious diseases risks, such as TB and HIV. Another line of research is to screen and develop new products of prebiotics, probiotics and synbiotics, and to assess their impacts on multidrug resistant bacteria.  Current interests on:

  1. The relationship between microbiome and infectious diseases, such as TB and HIV
  2. The influence of prebiotics, probiotics and synbiotics on human gut microbiota and relationship between gut microbiota and immunity
  3. Screen and develop new products of prebiotics, probiotics and synbiotics, and to assess their impacts on multidrug resistant bacteria.
