个人简介

 吴长新教授主要从事感染与免疫和人类疾病遗传学基础研究,聚焦地域性重大疾病病理机制与新干预技术研究。回国前后主持国家支撑计划、惠康基金会(Wellcome Trust)、国家基金项目和英国生物技术理事会(BBSRC)等项目,作为骨干参与承担国家973项目、国家重点科技计划和欧盟第七框架重大项目等项目子课题。主要科学与学术成就在《Science》、《Nature﹒Genetics》、《PNAS》、《Molecular Cell》、《Cell Death & Disease》、《Biosensors & Bioelectronics》、《Stem Cell Research & Therapy》、《Frontiers in Immunology》和《Clinical Immunology》等期刊发表。获得国内和国际学术组织授予奖项包括国家科技部科学进步二等,农业部科技进步二等奖,国级多个一级学会论文奖、Wellcome Trust国际青年科学家发展奖荣誉和剑桥大学海外奖学金委员会终生荣誉会员。

       获得英国剑桥大学博士学位后,在剑桥工作近二十年,应山西大学邀请,在国家中西部高校综合实力提升工程经费资助下,组建山西大学生物医学研究院,并于山西大学115周年华诞之日—2017年5月8日成立。在山西省海外高层次人才和山西省高层次引进人才创新团队等人才支持计划资助下,辞去剑桥大学工作职位,2018年全职加盟山西大学,担任生物医学研究院创院院长(现任)和首席科学家、医学分子细胞生物学山西省重点实验室首任实验室主任和国家地方高校“地域性重要疾病病理机制与新干预技术”引智基地首席科学家。目前担任山西省战略科学家、山西省特聘专家以及地方和国家一些生命科学和医学专业学术团体理事、常务理事等。


研究领域

吴长新教授团队研究的兴趣主要在感染与免疫、罕见病和干细胞三个领域:

 【感染与免疫】聚焦结核病病理机制与新干预技术,深入探索结核病(Tuberculosis,TB)易感性分子细胞生物学机制、结核分枝杆菌(mycobacterium tuberculosis,mtb)蛋白与宿主蛋白相互作用对TB病理发生与发展,宿主对Mtb免疫应答与清除的分子细胞生物学机制,以自然宿主作为模式生物,研发宿主导向性干预人类TB,特别是难治和耐药TB的新技术研发。同时开展其他感染性疾病的快速、特异、敏感诊断与病原检测新技术的研发。团队本方向课题组负责人包括尚桂军教授、邢力教授、董丽教授、孟庆来教授、李建国副教授、冯娇副教授、陈广信副教授、崔晓钢博士授、杨彩婷博士、王晶博士、刘月博士、杨志强博士、安一娜博士和曹珮珮博士等职业科学家。

 【罕见病】聚焦地域性罕见病病理机制与新干预技术,深入开展神经性和代谢相关罕见病病理机制研究,应用基因编辑技术构建小鼠和斑马鱼模式动物,研究基因缺陷导致相关罕见病的分子细胞生物学机制,并试图通过最新基因编辑技术和核酸小分子研发罕见病的基因治疗的新干预技术。团队本方向课题组负责人包括赵仲华教授、熊秋宏副教授、李平副教授和刘婷博士等职业科学家。

 【干细胞】聚集干细胞分化分子细胞生物学机制和干细胞技术在感染性疾病和罕见病方面的新干预技术,特别是胚胎干细胞早期分化机制。研发基于多能干细胞分化为功能干细胞的新型治疗技术,用于难治性耐药TB、神经退行性疾病及罕见代谢性疾病的临床干预。同时团队也对肿瘤干细胞干性形成机制及生物活性小分子对肿瘤干细胞干性影响与作用机制开展一些先导性基础性研究。团队课题组负责人包括姚明泽教授、董丽教授、张立超副教授和剌晓琴博士等职业科学家。

 团队依托山西大学生命科学院生物学一级硕士博士学位点在二级遗传学(医学)培养学术型博士和硕士研究生,招生的方向与专业包括遗传学、生物化学与分子生物学和微生物学。

团队依托生命科学院生物工程和食品工程一级专业性型硕士学位点招生。


科研项目

吴长新教授回国前,依托国内大学主持国家自然科学基金5项,科技部支撑计划1项、英国BBRSC项目1项和英国Wellcome Trust项目2项;参与欧盟第七框架重大项目、国家863项目和973项目各1项。
